Boxresizer will grab your image and resize, transform or adjust the quality based on the parameters you provided.

NOTE: BoxResizer runs on Amazon EC2 which states "The Amazon EC2 Service Level Agreement commitment is 99.95% availability", so its pretty reliable for the amount of load we are currently receiving. If you feel the service is too slow, we can set up your own instance of boxresizer with the above specs which would be more than you will ever need. This will also be free as long as we can keep up with demand. Find us on twitter below to request your own instance. We are currently working on a caching mechanism that would make the service much faster.

Available Boxresizer parameters

    The url of the image to convert. This image has to live somewhere on the net already.

  • resize

    Resize the image, in "WidthxHeight" format.

    e.g. 20x30

  • flip

    Flips the image horizontally or vertically

    Values
    horizontal (default) | vertical

  • rotate

    Rotates the image given an angle

    Values
    e.g. 20 | 90

  • format

    Changes the format of the image

    Values
    gif, jpg, png, png8, etc
    Type

  • quality

    Changes the quality of the image

    Values
    0 .. 100

  • shape

    The shape of the image, when resizing or thumb-nailing to a different aspect ratio
